start-up kits

Start-Up Kits are a great way for individuals and groups of all kinds to contribute needed items to clients of The Other Place who are moving from homelessness into housing. Clients moving out of the shelter system typically have very few possessions, and definitely don't have all the items they need to make a fresh start in a new home.  

We can offer you practical suggestions (click HERE for a list) to build a complete start up kit.  Many of the items can even be purchased at a dollar store, so put together one or many.  We will ensure that they go to individuals and families who have begun their journey to self-sufficiency.
